Compassionate care for all
Since 2015, A.T. Still University-Missouri School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) has been providing affordable, comprehensive dental care for all, including those living with disabilities and special needs, within its St. Louis Dental Center Special Care Dentistry clinic. Most insurance plans, including MO HealthNet (Medicaid), are accepted at the St. Louis Dental Center, operated in partnership with Affinia Healthcare. Discounts are available to uninsured patients.
The Special Care Dentistry unit features two secluded dental chairs to provide a quiet, comfortable treatment environment. Our special care suites are fully equipped and staffed by specially trained providers dedicated to delivering compassionate, affordable dental care. Appointments provide adequate time for patients to feel comfortable and adapt to their surroundings. Services in our special care suites include, but are not limited to, exams, cleanings, sealants, fillings, crowns, bridges, periodontal therapy, oral surgery, and digital X-ray.
If a patient requires dental care under general anesthesia (sedation), ATSU-MOSDOH, Affinia Healthcare, Washington University School of Medicine, and Barnes-Jewish Hospital (BJH) have established a partnership to provide care at BJH. Patients must first be seen at the St. Louis Dental Center before being added to the waiting list for sedation care.
